As Nigerians keep demanding justice over constant harassment and extortion from police officers and Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) operatives, many cases of citizens falling victim keep springing up.
Just recently, a Twitter user identified as Steve Kinton shared a clip of him being harassed by a policeman and reported that he was strangled, almost to death by the police officer who demanded to see his statement of account.
According to Kinton, the incident happened at MKO Abiola Garden, Ojota, Lagos on September 29. He stated that he and his friend were harassed and assaulted because they refused to open their bank mobile application as requested by the policeman.
The policeman who is yet to be identified was captured on video attacking the victim as he was recording the event. Kinton who claimed to have almost lost his life stated that he was strangled by the police officer but was only released after he fainted.

Many Nigerians have expressed disappointment in the way security agents of the government conduct their activities and mostly subject citizens to illegal arrests and physical assault.
