Nigerian Governor goes into isolation after Atiku’s son whom he recently met with tests Positive


Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed of Bauchi state has gone into self-isolation over fears that he might have been exposed to the deadly Coronavirus.

This is coming on the heels of Mohammed Atiku Abubakar, son of former Vice President and presidential hopeful, Atiku Abubakar testing positive to Convid-19. The governor and Atiku’s son only recently met aboard a flight from Lagos where they actually shook hands.

In a press statement by the Senior Special Assistant to the Bauchi State Governor, Mukhtar M. Gidado, Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed met with Mohammed Atiku Abubakar on an Aero Contractors flight from Lagos where they exchanged greetings and shook hands.

According to the statement, the Governor has gone into isolation and would be there for a while to ascertain his current status. His blood sample has also been taken and is currently undergoing a clinical test to test for the virus.

The statement also states that the Governor however hasn’t shown any symptoms of the deadly virus.

On Sunday, Atiku Abubakar shocked everyone when he revealed that his son, Mohammed has tested positive to Convid-19.
