When it comes to Jollof rice, everyone knows Nigerians make the best. This is why it does not come as a surprise that a Nigerian chef, Folashade Shoyonbo, emerged as the winner of a Jollof contest.
The contest which took place at the 15th AKWAABA African Travel and Tourism Market was organised to promote culinary tourism in Africa.
Shoyonbo, who was not expecting to come out as the winner, said she had left the venue of the contest immediately she presented her food to the judges.
As a graduate of accounting, Shoyonbo abandoned her educational qualification to follow her passion for catering. With a diploma in catering, Shoyonbo works with Lagos Continental Hotel.
