N14m debt: Portable regains freedom after meeting bail conditions

Controversial Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola popularly known as Portable has regained his freedom from the Lagos state command.

It can be recalled that Portable was forcefully arrested on Tuesday, May 14th, over his refusal to balance payment of his newly acquired Mercedes Benz worth N27 million.

The CEO of Zeh nation purchased a Mercedes Benz GLE 350 from a car dealer, Temitope Ogunsanwo (Temmy Autos) in January 2024 but unable to complete the payment after signing an undertaking.

It was reported that Portable was able to pay up N13 million of the vehicle but yet to complete with the balance of N14 million.

However, the public relations officer (PRO) to the police, SP Benjamin Hundeyin confirmed the release of Portable on Wednesday evening.

When asked if Portable had resolved the issue, Benjamin said, “I have no idea about it but what I can say is that he has been granted bail.”
