BBNaija star, Mercy Eke, says she suffered physical and emotional torture after she underwent a butt lift operation in 2018.
In an interview on the Love is a Game show, Eke said societal pressures made her undergo the procedure and that despite the intense pain she experienced after the surgery, the results were worth it.
“To be very truthful, at first, it was because of the trend. I did my body in 2018. I think at the time it was just the trend, maybe peer pressure; everyone was doing it. I had a beautiful, slim body, but my stomach was a little too big. I was scared. I didn’t tell my mum because I didn’t want anybody to discourage me so it was me and two of my other friends. We just planned it, we paid we did it together at the same time.”Mercy said
She described the post-surgery recovery process as particularly gruelling, noting that the massages required afterwards were extremely painful.
“After the surgery, you get to have your body massaged, that’s the painful part. You can’t sleep on your butt for 14 days. You have to lay on your stomach. It was painful. You cry for three days, but it’s worth it” she said
Addressing rumours about other procedures, Eke clarified that aside from the butt lift and minor fillers in her nose, she has not undergone further body augmentation. She also emphasized the importance of educating people about cosmetic procedures, pointing out that many misunderstand what liposuction entails.
“My butt is the softest thing you will ever touch because it’s just fat; it’s like water,” she added.
