Michelle Obama teamed up with Ellen DeGeneres to surprise school kids for Christmas.
Former US First Lady Michelle Obama surprised the school kids and their teachers when she arrived at the Randle Highlands Elementary School in Washington, D.C to address them. Mrs Obama informed them she was there for “Ellen’s Greatest Night of Giveaways.”
While speaking to everyone in the school’s auditorium, she mentioned how she noticed that the school didn’t have a basketball court. She then proceeded to announce that they would now have one as she showed them an image of their new basketball court.
As they screamed in joy, Mrs Obama gave them their second surprise. She announced that the school will be given new computers and all the teachers will get free laptops. As she revealed the computers and laptops, they all couldn’t control their excitement.
But she didn’t stop there. She informed the students that they were all getting 1 free iPad each.
She said: “When I look out at all of you, I see the future doctors and teachers and engineers and presidents, and I want to make sure you have the tools you need right now.”
Immediately she said this, students broke into tears of excitement as people entered the auditorium to distribute free iPads to each student.
