Some Nigerian senators have grieved the constant actions of kidnappers in the northern part of Nigeria.
Senator Sani and Gobir have grieved the constant kidnapping in the northern part of Nigeria.
According to Senator Sani, kidnappers kidnaped pastors and some worshipers in Kaduna State.
In addition, Senator Gobir said that kidnappers are terrorizing eight local governments in Sokoto state
On the 22 of May 2019, Senators have taken the case to the floor of the Senate, to voice their concerns as the situation continues to increase.
Gunmen stormed a church on the outskirts of Kaduna state. “Pastors and some worshipers were taken away from the church,” Senator Shehu Sani said.
Senator Ibrahim Gobir told the Senate about kidnappers terrorizing eight local governments in Sokoto state. He said as a result of these attacks, men no longer sleep in their houses. He added that not a day passes by without women being kidnapped.

furthermore, Senate President Bukola Saraki who supported the senators said the police are trying their best to address the security situation of the country.
“Thank you for bringing that to our notice. As you know the government, particularly the police are doing their best to address the security situation, particularly in the northwest.
”I think what we need to do is bring this to the attention of the chairman of the committee on police affairs so that special attention can be given as it affects Sokoto state,”
