Kylian Mbappé has turned down a recommendation from the Ligue de Football Professionnel’s (LFP) legal committee.
The body has reportedly recommended that Mbappe enters a mediation with Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) over his unpaid wages and bonuses.
Recall the Real Madrid forward is seeking around €55 million from his former club, which he claims is owed from his time at PSG.
The dispute stems from an alleged verbal agreement during Mbappé’s contract renewal in 2022, where he supposedly agreed to waive some financial benefits if he left on a free transfer.
PSG insists that Mbappé committed to this arrangement when he departed for Real Madrid this summer, but the agreement was never formalized in writing.
GistReel Sport reported that PSG has since welcomed the LFP’s mediation recommendation, noting their efforts to resolve the issue for months.
However, Mbappé has rejected this path, further prolonging the conflict.
