A Zimbabwean man identified as Energy Moyo, has begged a Customary court to dissolve his marriage of nine years after experiencing recurring dreams of his wife cheating on him.
Moyo, a resident of the Lobenvale suburb, filed a divorce application at the Bulawayo Customary Court, citing vivid dreams of his wife Angela Dube’s alleged infidelity.
He told the court that in his dreams, Angela is always seen engaging in intimacy with another man, who also happens to be their neighbor.
“The marriage relationship between the parties has irretrievably broken down, and there are no prospects of restoring a normal marriage between them,” the husband added in his application.
The petitioner explained that these troubling dreams began early in their marriage and have continued throughout the years, eroding the love, affection, trust, and respect they once shared.
Furthermore, Moyo disclosed that he attempted to discuss the vivid infidelity dreams with his wife but it resulted in verbal and physical abuse from her.
The applicant is requesting custody of their two children and an equal division of their household property, but Court is yet to hear the case.
