Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola, has revealed that he is happy seeing the club’s star midfielder, Kevin de Bruyne being upset.
De Bruyne was clearly displeased when he was replaced by Mateo Kovacic after 69 minutes, with City losing control of the game. The Belgium international voiced his discontent to Guardiola before taking his place on the bench.
Manchester City played out a 1-1 draw with Liverpool on Sunday as the battle intensifies for who wins the Premier League title this season.
Addressing a post match press briefing, the coach was asked about De Bruyne not happy with his sub, and Guardiola said he liked seeing him in that emotional state.
The 53-year-old Spanish tactician said; “I’m happy to see that! I like it if he’s upset, it’s good. He’s happy now…”
Following the draw, Arsenal maintained its spot at top of the table with 64 points with a better goal difference over Liverpool and one point ahead of Manchester City.
