A Nigerian man has reportedly been killed by unknown gunmen in Sokoto state 10 days after he tied the knot with his fiancée.
Labour Party (LP) National Youth Leader, Mallam Jabeer, broke the sad news through his official account on social networking service, Twitter.
He said the deceased was working on his farm in Isa Local Government Area of Lagos state, when he was shot dead and his father also kidnapped.
Jabeer who revealed that the incident happened on 1st of August, raised concerns over steps being taken by the government and security agencies to find the perpetrators.
Sharing a picture of the victim, he wrote; “This young man was shot dead 10 days after his marriage while working in his farm in Isa local gov’t area of sokoto state.
They killed him and also kidnapped his father. The incident happened today and yet nothing has been done by the relevant authorities. Sad.”
