A Nigerian man, identified as Joshua Kamal, has celebrated becoming a medical doctor four years after he resigned from his bank job.

Joshua took to his X page as he revealed that he courageously quit his banking job in 2019 to pursue his dream course, medicine.

In 2019, he announced to his followers his decision to quit his bank job, saying people thought he was delusional.

He wrote, “I quit my bank job in January to follow my dream of becoming a medical doctor, A lot of ppl thought I was delusional”.

“Entrance exam was the hardest I’ve had to study in my life. Not just cos MEDICAL SCHOOL but I’ve also not been a student for a bit now.. 1ST APRIL 2019- I’m in”.

He then quoted his post as he expressed deep gratitude to God and reflecting on the challenges and internal struggles he encountered during this journey.

He proudly declared his official status as Dr. Joshua Kamal with the completion of his MBChB degree on November 15th, 2023.

He wrote, “15th November 2023! I’m done, I’ve bagged the MBChB 😃. I read this tweet, and it took me right back in to 2019; the anxiety, the stress, the internal chaos, the hmmmmm…… 🥲🥲🥲.”
