Small things they say come in huge packages. This seem to be the case with Nigeria’s every growing multi billion dollars movie industry which has been taking giant strides for years now. The industry has been contributing a significant percentage to the growth of Nigeria’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and in offering employment to a lot of Nigerians. Unfortunately, Nollywood as its popularly has little or no support from the government. Her success lies in the believing, resilient and enduring spirit of private investors and independent movie producers.
Nollywood’s A list actress, Kate Henshaw recently took to her instagram page to share the news of a collaboration between movie streaming giant Netflix and Nollywood. This comes as a follow up to the likes of movie such as Lionheart, King of Boys, Up North, Chief Daddy, and more movies that will be added to the streaming platform. This indeed is a big plus to the Nigerian movie industry.
