Veteran Nollywood practitioner Anayo Modestus Onyekwere popularly known as Kanayo Kanayo has sent an important message to Nollywood filmmakers who runs to the steaming giant platform, YouTube.
Kanayo Kanayo called out his colleagues who are ruining the foundation of the movie industry by creating low quality content all in the name of making money on the platform.
The veteran also spoke against those who are not learned enough in making film but went ahead and created the money making video channel and then go on to abandon their colleagues. He said they are ruining the principles of the industry.
Kanayo admonished them to work with each other even if the platform is big enough to accommodate every talents. He warned against the durability of the YouTube platform I’m Nigeria, claiming it would soon be banned.
Tontrends recalls that a few weeks ago Kanayo Kanayo shared an important advice to his colleagues on his social media page where he made his observation about a typical Nollywood setting.
The actor urged filmmakers to desist from always making a rich man dressed in the agbada or Senegal regalia rather they should be costuned in more comfortable outfits.
He also noted how ladies are fully made up with heavy costumes when trying to depict a regular night time or cooking time.
The actor had also spoken about his night sacrifices in movies that has now become a social media memes.
In a short clip that captured his chat with Chude Jideonwo, Kanayo Kanayo disclosed that he is not involved in any sacrifice, that the only thing he knows is Jesus.
The veteran actor who is one of the highly respected Nollywood actors claimed he will continue with the night sacrifices as long as they put money in his account.
