Nollywood star, Yul Edochie has said that he’s forgiven his late colleague, Junior Pope for allegedly betraying him while still alive.
It may be recalled that the actor recently claimed that Junior Pope backstabbed him and this was one of the reasons he failed to attend the burial that took place days ago.
“I didn’t want to say anything till after his burial. I know many asked why I wasn’t there. Why I haven’t said anything about it since. I took him like a brother & good friend.
I was there for him when he needed me. But he stabbed me in the back, repeatedly. That’s LIFE! I’ll drop the full details soon so others can learn from it. Be careful what you wish people, it could come to you,” he wrote.
Revisiting the matter in a new post, Yul Edochie explained that he chose to forgive the deceased since the world we live in is filled with humans who are inherently flawed.
He wrote;
“Speaking about forgiveness, I forgive him completely. It hurts deeply when a friend you love, took like a brother, stood for and shown love over the years turns around to stab you in the back repeatedly without remorse.Sadly that’s the world we live in. Humans are filled with flaws. To err is human, but to forgive is divine. I forgive him & wish his family the very best.
Dear Nollywood & humanity, I hope this serves as a wake-up call. Life is short & unpredictable. None of us will be here forever. Let us bring back love and unity amongst us.
You gain nothing by trying to bring another person down. The sky is big enough for all of us to fly. When you see your fellow man or woman having issues, don’t be that person who will add to the pain.”
