Nigerian actress Tonto Dikeh has shared her thoughts on the topic of body shaming, specifically targeting women.
On a recent post on her Instagram page, Tonto Dikeh encouraged individuals to reflect on their own relationships and experiences before criticizing others.
She highlighted the perceived hypocrisy of those who engage in body shaming, particularly when it comes to women who have undergone physical changes due to natural processes such as childbirth.
Tonto Dikeh expressed her disappointment that body shaming remains an issue in 2024, characterizing it as “unsophisticated.”
She wrote: “This statement highlights the hypocrisy of men/women who body-shame women, especially those whose physical changes result from natural processes like childbirth. It calls for self-reflection and empathy, reminding them to consider the sacrifices and transformations women, including their own mothers, often go through in life.”
“Body shaming in 2024???? That’s quite unsophisticated,” she added.
