Grammy Award-winning singer Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu better known as Burna Boy has criticized Nigerians in one of his recent songs that is becoming viral online.
In the popular video, Burna Boy, who was streaming live on Instagram, offered his fans a sneak preview of the unheard song.
The song’s lyrics implied that Nigeria was devoid of love.
The self-acclaimed African Giant was heard singing and jokingly asking Nigerians if this is his reward for always making them proud.
Someone arrived and seized Burna’s phone before he could finish playing the song.
The lyrics read: “Is this the modafxking thanks I get for making my people proud every chance I get? Sotey I get, this Naija no love.”
Burna Boy’s video quickly gained popularity on social media, and many internet users expressed their opinions about it. The musician was underappreciated, according to some of them, while others questioned whether he desired to be regarded like God.
