Uchechi Kanu, wife of political activist and pro-Biafra agitator, Nnamdi Kanu, has described the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Political Wing as a sham.
The group had claimed that Kanu authorized its political wing to open negotiations with the Nigerian government on the future of South East Nigeria. Spokesman of the group, Emereonye Nwachukwu, said the move follows recent hopes raised in freeing Kanu by Mrs Bianca Ojukwu, Minister of State, Foreign Affairs.
According to IPOB-PW, Nnamdi Kanu made this known through proxy meetings with people who have spoken to him in detention.
Reacting, Uchechi said IPOB-PW is a hoax and faceless group that does not speak for Kanu.
She posted on X: “@Independent Who are these faceless fools? What is and who are the people behind this sham called IPOB-PW?
“Be aware that IPOB – PW is a hoax and does not speak for #NnamdiKanu or #IPOB.
“#IPOB does not have any other branch. It is only one #IPOB all over the world – One Family.
“#NnamdiKanu has said it in court but one of the traits of the wicked which is being daft, does not allow them to reason.
“The faceless buffoons behind this IPOB-PW should know they have failed. Ndị ara”
