Nigerian singer Divine Ikubor, popularly known as Rema has caused stirs online as he put himself on the same standards with the global Afrobeat musicians, Wizkid, Davido and Burna Boy.
Rema, known for his top-charting songs, to his microblogging page as he notified his fans that there are more than three Nigerian’s top performers.
The 24-year-old singer has unquestionably become a symbol of Afrobeats’ worldwide success. Rema has broadened the influence of African music on a global scale.
His achievements raise the bar for Afrobeats, highlighting Nigeria’s music dominance internationally following his huge breakout music, ‘Calm down’ featuring American singer, Selena Gomez.
Bragging about his new status, he weighed in on the current debate around Wizkid, Davido, and Burna Boy—often referred to as the “Big 3″.
