Budding Nigerian singer, Victony, has said he is not in a rush to be placed on the same level of stardom with Afrobeats superstars, Rema and Asake.
He stated this while reacting to opinions that his debut album ‘Stubborn’ wasn’t commercially successful because he didn’t have “haters”.
In a reaction via his Twitter account, Victony said the assumption was “dvmb,” and noting that those pushing the narrative have high expectations for the album beyond his current status in the music industry.
The Soweto crooner wrote: “Lmao, Victony need more haters gotta be the dvmbest shit I seen cos what’s the rush? Everyone wanna be Rema and Asake in 2 hours?”
