Popular Nigerian comedian Sabinus has been tackled by his colleague over his comment about the country while frying plantain in the UK.
Taking to his verified Instagram page today, September 11th 2023, Sabinus sparks reactions online as he compares Nigerian groundnut oil to that of the UK as he fries plantiain.
In the video on his IG page, Sabinus berated Nigeria’s groundnut oil as he accused it of being aggressive and noisy in nature while adding that it brings a lot of “chaaaaain” sound when plantain is placed on it.
Sabinus in the video however hailed the gentle sound of the UK ground oil when plantain is placed on it and by extension claimed that Nigeria’s groundnut oil might be a fuel and not a groundnut oil.
Captioning the video, Sabinus wrote; “New discovery o be like na fuel we de use o 😂🏃♀️🇬🇧.”

However, the video did not sit well with many as fellow celebrities like Cute Abiola, Enoluwa, Janemena, Pocolee and others tackled for spoiling the name out of the country.
Cute Abiola wrote; “😂😂😂 but trust me . Na that chaaaaain wey Nigeria own dey shout dey make the plantain soft 😂 . Taste this one wey no shout chaaaaaain . U go see say the plantain no go sweet like that .”
Enioluwa stated; “Plantain that did not make noise is that one plantain. That chaaaaaaa noise is the flavour, that’s what makes it sweet sef! Tahhhh!😂 sha Dey careful with the Knife!”
Pocolee commented: “na banana 🍌 u dey fry na why 😂😂😂.”
Janemena: “Stop spoiling our country online na, hide our shame please😩🥹🙏.”
