We can’t tell what prompted Tiwa Savage to make this statement but whatever it’s, she is taking pride in being the first person to start the ‘movement’ aimed at finding justice for the teenage girls who were murdered recently.
Nigerians are demanding justice for an 18-year-old girl called Jennifer who was allegedly attacked and raped by a gang of five men in Kaduna and another 16-year-old high school student called Tina Ezekwe who was shot and killed after police opened fire at a bus stop in Lagos during a nighttime coronavirus curfew.
The issues have sparked outrage all over Nigeria as people from all walks of life take to social media to force the government to bring the perpetrators to book without delay.
Tiwa Savage stressed that she and other people who are passionate about this subject won’t rest until the killers are found.
She tweeted: Drag me all you want but I started this hashtag and maybe it will get noticed by others n then maybe it becomes something bigger that will make a change whether big or small but point is I started something #WeAreTired.
