I was the best graduating student and I passed all the govt job exams I took, but they gave appointments to northerners’ who didn’t write any exam – Man reveals

A Nigerian man based overseas has said that there is no reason for him to come back because Nigeria does not reward merit, hard work and dedication.

He made the statement in reaction to a tweet by Politician and IT guru, Adamu Garba who told him to leave overseas and return back to Nigeria. Reacting, the man identified as @JohnNetworQ narrated how he wrote WAEC, passed, finished from the university as the best graduating student and did masters but on returning to apply for job at Petroleum Training Institute, he met the shock of his life.

He noted how he passed all the interviews and exams but was neglected and he watched how northerners who never sat for the exams were given appointment letters. “Leave foreign land and come back home”, Garba tweeted.

@JohnNetworQ replied: “To do what ? Lemme give u a personal account. I will t be speaking for Nigerians . Just myself . 2000 my father died . 2003, my mother sold her rapper and jewelries so I can enroll WAEC and NECO . 2005 December I got admitted into Petroleum Training Institute… #thread
