John Okafor, aka Mr Ibu, a very popular legend in the Nigerian movie industry has recently recounted the situation about his illness that has kept him out of limelight for about three years.
In 2019, recall that John Okafor a.k.a Mr Ibu alleged that some of his kinsmen paid some of his domestic workers to poison him because of his successful career.
However in May 2022, the legendary actor again alleged that he was poisoned again. Which makes it three times in 3 years.
John Okafor in a recent interview with the popular newspaper, Vanguard, made a very disturbing comment. He disclosed that he was already “seeing people on the other side” but God in His infinite mercy, brought him back to life.
In his interview, he said, “My illness was actually perpetrated by people that hate me. People who do not like me for my progress. They are the ones who did this to me. Later, I was taken to the hospital. The doctors are prophets. So, they went into my system and they told me what was wrong and what they are going to do. I said ‘Whatever you are going to do, please, do it, let me live because if I die like this the enemies will laugh’. And then the doctors said ‘Okay, there’s no problem’.
“At the time, I didn’t know what happened. I left! So, whatever I was saying they recorded it. I was saying something like somebody who is going mad. I wasn’t actually seeing anybody. But on the other side where I was at that time, I was seeing some dead people.. God brought me back.”
He said his enemies were very happy about his health condition and they thought he wouldn’t make it alive, but God shamed them and brought him back to life.
The comic actor said that the illness taught him a “big lesson”, he also added that he is surprised that he is still alive.
I really do not know why some people take pleasure in seeing the downfall of others. Most times, some of these “enemies” are people who are close to us, people who we would never suspect.
The world news is full of people who have died, or who are fight for their life because someone they called “friend” or “family” put them there.
We should be very careful of those we allow into our inner circle as these people can either make or mar us.
May God continue to protect us from the hands of people who are insecure about our prosperity.
