Nigerian music executive and producer, Michael Collins Ajereh, popularly known as Don Jazzy, has shared his journey into music production.
During a recent appearance ‘On The Grind‘ podcast, he attributed his passion for music as the driving force behind his career choice.
Don Jazzy highlighted his versatility in playing multiple instruments, including the drum, bass guitar, and piano.
He even mentioned that his love for drumming extends to unexpected moments, like during intimate times.
He shared his progression from playing percussion to learning other instruments, which eventually led him to become a producer.
“I just went in [to production] and never looked back. I finished playing percussion, I moved to jazz drum. From the drum set, I moved the bass guitar. At some point, I started learning the piano,” he said.
“I started learning more instruments when I was in London and I realised that I wanted to be a producer. But originally, I liked playing drums and bass guitar…. I literally drum all the time. I do it during sex. I can even drum on a woman’s buttocks if I get the inspiration for a beat at that time.”
Don Jazzy also revealed that he once lived in the studio with colleagues Altims and Baby Fresh for two years.
In another news, Don Jazzy reacts to viral report he gifted Egungun $300M.
The rumor, which circulated on social media, alleged that Don Jazzy presented the money to the content creator after an interview to support his career.
Don Jazzy has however addressed the claim in a humorous manner, expressing shock and asking the originator of the rumor to request that Egungun remove two zeros from the amount and return $3 million to him instead.
In his words:
“Wow that’s massive. Abeg help me beg am to commot the 2 zeroes just give me 3m back. I go appreciate die.”
