The Grammy-winning singer Burna Boy claimed that he realized he had become a well-known performer following a show in 2014.
He stated that was the first time he performed in a stadium in the South-Eastern part of Nigeria, and the sheer volume of supporters who came to see him made him realize how well-liked he was.
Burna observed in an interview with BBC
In reaction to a query about when he knew he was well-known, Burna said; “2014, that’s the first time I did a show in a stadium the eastern part of Nigeria.
They only like their own people, so if you’ve crossed over there and you’re not from there then you know you have popped.
I have never seen anything like that, I didn’t even think it was real (laughs) It was a real thing that could happen.”
