Bimbo Akintola has offered guidance to young talents in the entertainment industry.
In a recent interview with Saturday Beats, she emphasized the importance of authenticity, planning, and focusing on personal goals rather than following societal expectations.
Bimbo Akintola encouraged young people to avoid conforming to generational labels and instead, concentrate on their unique journey.
She stressed the need for a five-year plan to measure success and progress.
“My advice to young talents is to stop being Gen Z or Gen X or millennial and focus on what they want for their lives. Don’t follow everyone else; stand out. Do something for you. Don’t follow the trends; do what is most important. Think about your life; nobody told me this when I was younger. Have a five-year plan. That way, you will know if you are failing or succeeding.”
The actress also shared her personal frustration with being typecast in the same role repeatedly.
She highlighted the importance of versatility and switching between characters to tell diverse stories.
“One of the things I hate is being stuck; I don’t want to be stuck playing one character. I think it’s important to be able to move from character to character so one can tell different stories. Being stuck means you can only tell one kind of story. What I want is to be able to touch as many lives as possible, and to do that, one has to be different people.”
