A Nigerian man, identified as Salisu Ahmed, has narrated how he cheated for the first time in his life and ended up being a carrier of Human immunodeficiency virus (HIV).
Salisu, who has been living with HIV for 31 years, made this known during his recent interview in latest episode of Doyin’s corner hosted by BBNaija’s Doyin, revealing how he became an outcast after contracting the life-threatening disease.
According to him, he was not allowed to move freely and even enter some places in his house like toilet, kitchen and lots more. His wife and kids packed their belongings and left his house.
He also revealed that he lost his teaching job after being diagnosed with HIV.
In his words, “My name is Salisu Ahmed and have been living with HIV for 31 years. I got this disease the first time I stepped out of my matrimonial home. I was denied access to the bathroom in my compound, not allowed into kitchen. I was formerly a teacher, so I was asked honorably not to come to the school. My wife and children left me. I was able to get another partner after 12 years.”
