Famous Nigerian music star Ayodeji Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, has finally opened up on why he prefers to live quietly and avoids flaunting his achievements on social media.
During a recent podcast interview, the Grammy-winning artist revealed his personal reasons for choosing to keep his accomplishments private.
Wizkid opened up on his humble beginnings, recounting how he and his siblings often went without meals during their childhood.
The singer attributed his decision to avoid flaunting his successes online to his upbringing and the lessons he learned from his family.
Growing up in a large household of 11 children, with four siblings from his mother, Wizkid emphasized that these experiences shaped his view on life and fame.
He explained that his past struggles have kept him grounded and unaffected by the trappings of celebrity status.
“I came from the bottom, I know what it feels like not to have anything. There was a time in my life when I had never even had breakfast; it was just lunch or maybe dinner,” he said.
