Kanye West has revealed how his life was transformed by Jesus, he shared his story with 12,000 College Students at a Youth Conference.
He recounted his experience in between songs with the Sunday Service Choir at the Strength to Stand Conference in Pigeon.
Over 1,400 Students gave their lives to Christ according to organizer and evangelist, Scott Dawson.
The 42-year-old was a last minute replacement for Comedian John Cross who had to step down due to “moral failure”.
“I believe Jesus died for my sins, “There was a time when the devil had me.
“Do you know the good news? Jesus can save a wretch like me.”
West also shared his testimony at a 10-hour-long prayer crusade in Arizona “Awaken 2020” where he discussed his addiction to alcohol as the Choir sang “Jesus Walks” in the background.
“Jesus saves,” West declared. “No matter how long you think you’ve been away. No matter how long you’ve been in the dark, the light is right there ready to save. To give you the confidence where they don’t want us to be brave. So you tell the devil today that we’ll no longer be his slave.”
He added, “It’s something that we take on day by day. Every day that I don’t pick up that drink, I beat the devil.”
Kanye west performed songs like “Jesus Walks” and “How Great Thou Art,” and “Closed at the Conference.
The organizer expressed his gratitude to Kanye West for being part of the Conference
“It was an honor to have Kanye and the Sunday Service Choir along with Kanye’s pastor, Adam Tyson, join us for the conference to tell the world about Jesus!” said Scott Dawson in a news release.
