Hike in Fuel Price: Lagos government extends work-from-home policy

The Lagos State Government has extended its work-from-home policy for public servants for another three months.

This extension was approved by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu in a circular signed by the state’s Head of Service, Bode Agoro, on Wednesday, September 4.

Initially introduced on February 28, the policy allowed workers on grade levels 01 to 14 to work from home for two days a week, while those on grade levels 15 to 17 could work remotely for one day each week. The initiative was implemented to alleviate the impact of fuel subsidy removal on public servants.

In the new circular, Governor Sanwo-Olu highlighted that the policy has led to positive impacts on workers’ productivity across various ministries, departments, and agencies, prompting the decision to extend the work-from-home arrangement for another three months.
