In a candid Instagram story, Alimi expressed his admiration for the priests who embraced this progressive move. He went on to highlight the significance of Pope Francis, a prominent figure in the Christian world, supporting same-sex unions. This development stands in stark contrast to the prevailing conservative views on homosexuality in Nigeria, where discussions often involve references to Hellfire and End Time.
Bisi Alimi questioned the opposing beliefs in Nigeria, wondering how individuals reconcile their views against same-sex relationships with the Pope’s acceptance of such unions. Celebrating his 60th anniversary, the 47-year-old disclosed that he is 75% Nigerian and 25% Benin and Togo. The DNA results also unveiled a painful aspect, tracing his ancestors to a sugar plantation in Haiti.
