Football to resume in coronavirus hit Italy by the end of May


Football Authorities in Italy have laid down plans for the the game make a return at the end of May after the season was halted following the outbreak of Coronavirus.

According to Football Italia, Football Chiefs have a date in place for the resumption of football, with the Coppa Italia semi finals to be played on the 27th and 28th of May as the Serie A would follow suit days later.

It would be recalled that football like in most parts of Europe have been on suspension since early March due to the spread of Coronavirus.

The deadly disease have killed 21,645 people in the country since it broke out – With Italy being one of the country most hit by the crisis

However, with the lockdown restriction imposed by the nation’s a Government being eased, there are renewed hopes that Football could be making a return soon.
