Gospel musician Nathaniel Bassey has reacted to a video that showed an MC pranking an audience at an event using his name.
The MC in the video posted on Nathaniel Bassey’s Instagram page first gave the audience cause for optimism when he revealed that the singer had been flown in to perform at the event.
Unaware that the announcement was a joke, everyone stood up and eagerly anticipated the arrival of the gospel singer.
The DJ pranked the crowd even more by starting to play a Nathaniel Bassey tune.
But after informing the crowd that Nathaniel Bassey wasn’t really among them, the MC crushed their expectations.
He asked why they were all expecting Nathaniel Bassey when they didn’t pay him for an appearance. Nathaniel Bassey humorously responded to the video, calling the stunt an expensive joke.
