Juventus star Cristiano Ronaldo has failed to make it into the 2018-19 Serie A Team of the Year after his worst goal-scoring record this season.
In his debut Juventus season in Italy following his £99million move last summer, the former Real Madrid man managed just 28 goals. That’s a far cry from Ronaldo’s best-ever total of 61 strikes for Los Blancos in the 2014-15 campaign.
Now, his comparatively disappointing season has seen him miss out on the Italian top-flight’s Team of the Year.
Goal-machine Duvan Zapata is joined by Josip Ilicic and Dries Mertens in the attacking spots instead.
In fact, despite winning their eighth Serie A crown in a row only two Juventus players made the list, right-back Joao Cancelo and midfielder Miralem Pjanic.
The former Manchester United superstar has also gone four seasons without winning the Golden Shoe award.
