Tottenham Hotspur manager, Jose Mourinho on Wednesday promised striker, Harry Kane that he will do his best to win trophies with him at the club.
According to The Times, Mourinho contacted Kane in a text message after his appointment to tell the England international he is the best striker in Europe and would help his Spurs team win silverware.
Mourinho replaced Mauricio Pochettino after the Argentine was dismissed by Tottenham on Tuesday night following the club’s poor form this season.
Speaking on his appointment, Mourinho told the club’s official website on Wednesday: “I am excited to be joining a Club with such a great heritage and such passionate supporters.
“The quality in both the squad and the academy excites me. Working with these players is what has attracted me.”
Mourinho will now hope to lead Tottenham to victory when they take on West Ham United in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon at the London Stadium.
