The wife of notorious Mexican drug dealer El Chapo has posted glamorous photos of herself on a skiing trip as he spends his life behind bars.
Emma Coronel, married to the former leader of the Sinaloa cartel, uploaded two new pictures of her on what is believed to be her Instagram account.
The 30-year-old is also a reality TV star who took part in Cartel Crew, made by VH1, two months ago.
Dressed in skiwear in a snowy landscape, Emma did not reveal on either image where she was in the world.
On the post she writes, in Spanish: “The snow is good, it comes in its time. God Bless.”
Emma made headlines by starring in the Cartel Crew reality show where she was seen talking with Michel Blanco, son of the drug trafficker Griselda Blanco, who complained about how people treated her.
She first popped up on Instagram in January 2019 and in just one week she amassed 44,000 followers.
Mariel Colon, a member of the defence lawyers of Joaquin ‘El Chapo¡ Guzman, said Emma created the account “therealemmacoronel” to crush the huge amount of fake accounts in her name.
There are still multiple Instagram accounts using her name and photos, with at least one other claiming its an official account.
Local media claims that at the beginning she was very active and even made a call for young designers to join her project of a fashion line in the name of her husband.
She reportedly wrote “as you will probably know, I have a project of a fashion line in process. The line is called El Chapo Guzman: JGL. I want to tell you that I am excited and I hope to be able to create things for everybody”.
She also mentioned her husband’s incarceration in the United States, saying:
“Everything that was said in the trial about Joaquin, good or bad, for me it does not change the way I think of him”.
But just five months after she created the account she abruptly deleted all her posts and had not posted any thing else until Sunday.
