Nigerian music mogul Don Jazzy has unfollowed social activist Verydarkman on Instagram, following allegations of a massive N180 million fraud connected to Verydarkman’s NGO.
The controversy erupted after Verydarkman claimed that a staggering N180 million had been stolen from the organization’s account, prompting widespread attention online.
In a post that has since gone viral, Verydarkman revealed that N20 million of the stolen funds had been recovered, and one suspect had been apprehended.
The NGO, which was launched to address issues in Nigeria’s public education system, has garnered significant public and celebrity support, with Don Jazzy notably donating N100 million to the cause earlier this year.
Other high-profile donors have contributed to the NGO, with recent updates indicating that the total amount donated has surpassed N200 million.
However, following the fraud allegations, Don Jazzy’s decision to unfollow Verydarkman has raised eyebrows.
A check on Don Jazzy’s Instagram revealed that he had quietly removed Verydarkman from his following list.
