A police dog known as Stryker has helped the Lewisville Police Department in Texas record it’s largest drug bust after the dog helped sniff out drugs worth an estimated, $1.2 million in street value.
According to the Lewisville Police Department, Stryker was called into action after police officers saw a suspicious tractor trailer parked near a major highway in Lewisville, Texas last week.
The officer in charge deployed his K-9 partner Stryker to conduct a free air sniff of the tractor trailer and Stryker alerted the police to the presence of methamphetamine hidden in a compartment of the tractor trailer worth over a million dollars.
The dog was rewarded with ‘it’s favorite meal and it’s favorite toy’ according to the police department.
