A technology entrepreneur and the founder of TESLA, Elon Musk has described Facebook as a lame application.
The TESLA founder made this known via his Twitter page, “#DeleteFacebook It’s lame” while reacting to a Twitter post by actor Sacha Baron Cohen calling for Facebook to be regulated by the government over its content.
Baron Cohen who is a vocal critic of social media platforms including Twitter and Google video platform YouTube wrote:‘We don’t let 1 person control the water for 2.5 billion people.
We don’t let 1 person control electricity for 2.5 billion people. Why do we let 1 man control the information seen by 2.5 billion people? Facebook needs to be regulated by governments, not ruled by an emperor!,‘.
Recall that this is not the first time the TESLA founder has publicly criticized Facebook or Mark Zuckerberg.
Musk deleted his official Facebook pages of his companies, TESLA (TSLA) and SpaceX in 2018 after it was disclosed that political consulting firm Cambridge Analytica had accessed personal informations of over 87 million Facebook users without their knowledge
