Veteran singer D’banj recently took to public transport in Lagos, adding a touch of excitement to commuters’ day. Following the release of his latest project, The Entertainer, he boarded both a bus and a train, blending seamlessly with the crowd.
His journey coincided with the first anniversary of the Lagos Rail Mass Transit (LRMT) Blue Line, highlighting the city’s evolving infrastructure and D’banj’s unique approach to connecting with his fans.
As he traveled from Leventis bus stop to Marina train station and then to National Theatre station, D’banj received enthusiastic admiration from fellow passengers.
In a touching act of generosity, D’banj covered the transportation costs for his fellow passengers, loading their Cowry Cards with fare.
A clip captured him dancing with an elderly woman while other passengers sang a song from his new album.
