Veteran Nollywood actor, Patrick Doyle, has showered accolades on Afrobeats superstar, Davido, describing him as the “least arrogant” among his peers, despite his massive success and prestigious background.
In a recent Facebook post, Doyle emphasized Davido’s remarkable humility, particularly considering his aristocratic heritage and immense fame.
The actor noted that, although the “Risky” singer is often perceived as flashy and brash due to his high-profile career in the entertainment industry, he consistently exudes respect and composure, especially when faced with criticism.
Patrick Doyle lauds Davido for his humility amidst fame
“David Adeleke is perhaps the least arrogant of his peers, even when he has the credentials to be the most arrogant, given the aristocracy of his antecedents compared to his street-raised peers,” Doyle wrote.
Doyle attributed Davido’s modest demeanor to the influence of his father, Nigerian billionaire businessman, Dr. Adedeji Adeleke, who is known for his humility despite his wealth.
The actor also commended Davido for his ability to accept constructive criticism and avoid engaging in public feuds, an admirable trait in the often tumultuous world of show business.
He added:
“I have also noticed his attitude towards them and the relentless attacks. For the most part, he has maintained a calm disposition and a reluctance to engage his adversaries. I find this commendable, and I imagine it is an inherited trait from his father who, though a business mogul, is possibly the most self-effacing billionaire around.
“The young man, on the other hand, appears to be flashy and brash at first look. However, showbusiness, his vocation, demands he be that way.”
