Popular comic star and actor Bovi Ugboma has clarified the air surrounding his public revelation stating that his son broke three televisions, seemingly without reason.

Bovi, who recently featured in a recent episode of ‘The Honest Bunch’ podcast, stated that he is not in support of beating children as a way of correction.

According to the comedian, children do not deserve to be beaten regardless of their offence. He also criticised the practice of senior students punishing junior colleagues in primary and secondary schools.

Bovi also recounted how his son broke three different televisions at home in the heat of anger on different occasions, sparking widespread discussions online.

He said, “I don’t advocate for beating children. You should let children be. When you hit a kid, are you really trying to correct them or are you frustrated? No child should be given authority over another child in the name of ‘senior student’. It really has to stop.”

He furthered, “I don’t advocate for beating children; you should let children be. My son breaks the television just for the fun of it when he’s upset. He’d throw stuff at it and break it but it got the age that he got to where he started to feel remorse.”

His unconventional parenting approach took over the internet and he received the dragging of his life. Many social media users revealed that Bovi is just a failed parent for confidently saying that his son broke 3 TVs for the fun of it.

However, he took to his social media page to reveal reasons his son broke TVs. Bovi stated that his son had difficulty with speech and communication problem.

He wrote, “I don go trigger people because of the phrase I used. ‘For the fun of it’. Make Una no vex. In trying to colour my point, I’ve offended a shallow mob. You don’t have to agree with me. If you have children to beat, enjoy. My papa no physically beat me and I turn out almost fine.”

“My child had a speech impediment and communication problem that’s only just starting to improve.”
