Christian Eriksen is officially an Inter Milan player after securing his £17.5million move from Tottenham.
The Danish star, who had since agreed on personal terms with the Serie A giants, had his medical on Monday and put pen to paper on his new contract through until June 2024.
The deal is reportedly worth around £6.5m per season plus bonuses.
The 27-year-old was unveiled today inside the famous La Scala opera house in Milan, Italy. Despite wearing the No 23 at Tottenham, Eriksen will wear the No 24 shirt for Inter Milan.
Speaking to InterTV once the move was confirmed, Eriksen said: ‘I couldn’t wait to get there, being here is beautiful and I’m happy to be a new Inter player.
‘I am very excited and I can’t wait to get to know the fans, I have already had the opportunity to feel their warmth, it was a fantastic welcome. I feel great.
‘Honestly, I’m not one who cares a lot about numbers but I know that people like them and testify that I did a lot well in England.
‘Now the time has come to take on a new challenge, I am very happy to be able to play in Serie A and with a great club like Inter, it is a fantastic club.’
Christian Eriksen is now the 5th Premier League star after Romelu Lukaku, Alexis Sanchez, Ashley Young, and Victor Moses to join Inter Milan since Antonio Conte took charge of the club.
