Champions League: Kylian Mbappe told to leave PSG for EPL club after elimination

Rio Ferdinand, a former England international, has dished out some advice to Kylian Mbappe.

Ferdinand urged Kylian Mbappe to leave Paris Saint-Germain for Premier League giants Manchester United.

Ferdinand said this after PSG’s elimination from the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday night.

Mbappe was unable to save PSG as they lost 2-0 against Bayern Munich in the Champions League round of 16 second-leg tie.

Goals from Eric Choupo-Moting and Serge Gnabry completed a 3-0 aggregate victory for the Bundesliga champions despite Mbappe, Lionel Messi and other players creating a lot of chances.

“He [Mbappe] is the most devastating player to watch on the planet right now. I love watching him,” Ferdinand told BT Sport.

“I think to go to the next level, he needs to go to a more competitive league. I think as much as he has been great for PSG and they have been great for him, he has won the World Cup and now he will want to win the Champions League and I don’t see that happening there.

“[He should move to] Man United! The Premier League is the best, most entertaining league in the world, the most competitive league in the world 100%.

“I would love to see him come here – but nowhere else but Man United if he comes to England!”
