Afrobeats star Davido has praised the remarkable contributions Africans, especially Nigerians, are making across various sectors like healthcare and entertainment.
Speaking on Afric TV, he emphasized the value of African talent and creativity.
Davido pointed out that many of the leading doctors in the United States are Nigerians, underscoring the community’s impressive achievements in the medical field.
He highlighted how Africans are reshaping the global music industry with fresh ideas and unique perspectives.
Davido also noted that Western filmmakers are turning to Africa for inspiration, with platforms like Netflix and Amazon Prime actively sourcing movie concepts from the continent.
Expressing pride in the growing African representation in global media, he pointed to the rising number of Nigerian films making Netflix’s top 10 list.
He said; “The best doctors in America are Nigerians. You can search it. Even in my record label [Sony Music], Africans bring the best ideas. That shows that our imagination is off the grid.
“Netflix and Amazon Prime come to Africa to get movie ideas. Now, when you come on Netflix, you will see about two Nigerian movies in the top 10. Africa is next, trust me. I feel like we have everything but just missing a couple of things.”

In a recent interview on the Big Homies House podcast, Davido advised Black Americans against relocating to Africa.
The DMW boss and “Unavailable” hitmaker addressed the growing interest among Black Americans considering a move to the continent. He urged them to reconsider, citing the ongoing economic challenges in Africa, particularly in his home country, Nigeria, which is currently facing a severe crisis.
