Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie has asked Nigerians to let twin brothers, Peter and Paul Okoye of the now defunct music duo, P-Square, stay apart if they wish. Yul said this while reacting to the ongoing feud between the twin music stars.
One half of the group, Paul aka Rudeboy recently announced that P-Square had broken up again for the second time barely three years after they reunited.
Paul also spoke about how he was arrested by the EFCC following a petition written against him by his twin brother over his lifestyle.
Paul said that while being grilled by the EFCC, he was threatened to the extent of being told that he was going to stay in prison for 20 years. Rudeboy said the EFCC printed out his account statements and presented them as they grilled him.
In response, Peter said he has never petitioned the EFCC against his twin brother. He, however, admitted that he filed a petition against their elder brother and former manager, Jude Okoye and his wife Ifeoma Okoye.
Peter added that he filed the petition because he discovered that “millions of dollars and hundreds of millions of Naira were being secretly diverted into a secret company’s account, Northside Music allegedly owned by Jude and his wife.
Peter further stated that that “Jude was then detained after being questioned. He came clean and admitted he had been diverting millions of dollars of our money to his secret company that he and his wife were the directors of.” read here and here
Following the development, Nigerians, including Peter Obi, have been calling for their reconciliation.
Reacting to the issue on Thursday, August 15, Yul stated that having peace of mind sometimes comes from staying apart from some loved ones.
