Nicolas Pepe of Arsenal on Saturday, August 24, dribbled past Liverpool’s Virgil Dijk.
The Ivorian is now the first player since March 2018 to dribble the Dutch defender.
Virgil Van Dijk has played 50 Premier League games without any player going past him.
Arsenal forward Nicolas Pepe has became the first player to dribble past Liverpool defender Virgil Van Dijk after 50 Premier League games played by the Dutchman.
Since Virgil Van Dijk joined Liverpool from Southampton, Premier League players have been unable to dribble him as the likes of Sergio Aguero, Gabriel Jesus also failed.
Mikel Merino was the last player who dribbled Virgil Van Dijk and that was in March 2018 when the Spaniard was playing for Newcastle United.
But on Saturday, August 24, Virgil Van Dijk’s 50-game Premier League record ended at Anfield by Ivory Coast international Nicolas Pepe.

Although the Gunners lost the match against Liverpool, but fans could hardly contain their excitement with Nicolas Pepe’s achievement over Virgil Van Dijk.
Even Gary Neville was getting carried away with Pepe’s flash of brilliance, claiming the £72 million new boy was making Van Dijk “nervous”.
However, Pepe had a chance to score for Arsenal, but he took his shot on too soon and fired straight at the keeper when he really should have done better.
