APC insists no faction exists, urges NWC members, staff to resume


APC has persuaded its NWC members and workers to resume at the secretariat without been afraid, Lanre Issa-Onilu, the party’s spokesman dismissed media reports claiming that the APC NWC was factionalised,The spokesperson also noted that disagreement is normal in a political party and not out of place,Following the drama concerning the embattled APC national chairman, the National Working Committee (NWC) members and secretariat workers of the party have been urged to resume work without any fear.

According to The Nation, this information was disclosed in a statement by Lanre Issa-Onilu, the party’s spokesman on Monday, March 9.

Issa-Onilu in the statement refuted media reports circulating that the NWC of the party was factionalised, adding that disagreements in a political party was not out of place. He described the news as an exaggerated story far-fetched.

The APC national secretary went on to thank security agencies including police officers, the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Mohammed Adamu, Department of State Services (DSS) operatives for their help in maintaining peace at the APC National Secretariat.

He assured APC members across the world and country that their party leaders are up to the task in resolving any issues that may arise.
