Several reactions have started trailing pictures of 89-year-old professor Wole Soyinka that have been making the rounds on social media platforms.
Note that Professor Wole Soyinka who hails from Ogun State Nigeria is a Nigerian playwright and political activist who received the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1986.
However, Professor Wole Soyinka has been making headlines following his recent interview where is said that the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi is “unfit” to lead Nigeria.
Remember that Obi placed third behind Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2023 presidential election.
Soyinka expressed his hope that Obi would not contest the presidency in the 2027 election.
However, following that, netizens have started digging out old pictures of Professor Wole Soyinka when he was much younger and full of activisim.
Meanwhile, some of the old pictures which surfaced online have got many people talking online as many could not believe that Wole Soyinka who was displaying gangster vibes in the old pics would later turn to a celebrated professor around the world.

He has played his part in the social sphere of politics, academics and even the multicultural world of his tribe. I don’t know what you make of him. But l’d rather be or not be a Soyinka.
